Edward William Luke II Appointed to the Shanghai Arbitration Commission Panel of Arbitrators

Edward William Luke II has been appointed to the Shanghai Arbitration Commission Panel of Arbitrators.

Shanghai Arbitration Commission (SHAC) was established under the Arbitration Law of the People’s Republic of China on September 18, 1995.

SHAC, in compliance with Chinese laws, referring to international practices, and observing its own rules, independently, fairly, and in a timely manner accepts and arbitrates to resolve contractual disputes and other property rights disputes between natural persons, legal persons, and other organizations that occur in equal subjects.

More than 3000 candidates from all over the world were submitted during the renewal period in 2021. After rounds of reviews and overall evaluation conducted by the Advisory Council of Arbitrator Selection, the new Panel was deliberated and adopted at the Second Plenary Session of the Seventh Governing Body of SHAC, with the result of 386 overseas arbitrators from over 110 jurisdictions standing out from the remarkable pool of candidates.
